Eric Zack, my 8-year-old son, began seeing Dr. David Spears at Body of Light Family Chiropractic on September 8th of 2004. We met Dr. David at the Lane County Fair at his demonstration booth offering free chiropractic evaluations. Dr. David looked at my other child and found nothing to speak of. If someone told me a year ago that I would be taking my son to see a chiropractor for his chronic sinusitis, I would have been a bit doubtful; not because I didn’t believe in chiropractic care (I had a very good experience with it myself), but simply for the short-sighted assumption that chiropractic care was “only for back-related” problems. Boy, was I narrow-minded!

When we first started chiropractic care for our family, I didn’t know the link between chiropractic and the nervous system. I pretty much viewed it as a skeletal-structural field of care for pain relief.
