Gates Gives $300 Million -- But With a Catch

The Gates Foundation is donating a further $120 million toward agricultural projects in developing countries. In sum, they have put $1.4 billion toward farm sector awards. And among the companies receiving charitable funds is Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). The problem?  AGRA is run by former officers from both Monsanto and Alta Genetics (a multi-million dollar private cattle genetics improvement and artificial insemination company). The Gates Foundation is essentially fueling genetically modified seeds and other patented agricultural solutions in developing countries.
