Family Wellness First - 027 - Flu Season
It's flu season again and the usual advocacy is in full gear. A new report however, finds serious flaws with current flu vaccine recommendations.
The British Medical Journal recently published this report:
"Influenza vaccination: policy versus evidence"
It is an excellent paper funded by an independent non-profit foundation:the Cochrane Collaboration, which challenges the safety and efficacy of the current flu vaccine recommended policy.

ICPA Family Wellness First - 026 - Antibiotic Abuse-again
Ear Infections: watch and wait works best.
Once again another study shows that most ear infections disappear on their own if left untreated with antibiotics. It was just published in Sept. 13 issue of JAMA, The Journal of the American Medical Association. The American Academy of Pediatrics says 80% of children whose ear infections are not treated immediately with antibiotics get better on their own.. |
