New WHO Guidelines Growth Charts for Exclusively Breastfed Infants

Saturday, 01 September 2007 00:00

Finally! The WHO Guidelines have released their new growth standards which, among other major improvements from charts used currently, consider exclusively breastfed babies for at least 6 months as the norm from which growth standards for humans are based. Please take time to look this site over and if you are able to, please forward to or print out and share with other families as well as your family practice doctor, pediatrician, nurse practitioner, etc. so that they can begin to utilize this more accurate and appropriate system for monitoring growth and development of our babies! For any of you who have been hassled about lagging growth of your healthy, happy breastfed babe, these standards will help equip physicians and other health care providers with the tools they need to more accurately track and assess growth and development!
