Putting the Tools in the Hands of Women: Two New Cesarean Resources

In “gray area cases” (i.e. when it is not a medical emergency) non-medical factors tend to influence the decision of whether a woman should have a c-section. “Evidence suggests that factors on the physician and hospital side are exerting a much stronger influence than factors on the woman’s side.” But two new resources that will be of help in making the decision are the “React and Act” tools available on the website of “California Watch” and Lamaze International’s primer “A Woman’s Guide to VBAC: Navigating the NIH Consensus Recommendations.”
