What's a Poor Midwife to Do?

Government regulations require midwives to transfer their patients to the hospital and induce labor at 42 weeks. This practice is based on research that was proved wrong by another study in 2002, yet the regulation continues. Critics believe that this forces mothers to endure labor-inducing drug regimens, and increases the number of cesarean sections which might not otherwise be necessary. Gloria Lemay is a midwife in British Columbia who strongly disagrees with this standard of care. Read her response to this practice here: http://www.glorialemay.com/blog/?p=312
