Effective Interventional Approach to Control Anaemia in Pregnant Women

A study published in the May 2010 volume of “Current Science” found that by removing fluoride form the diet of a sample group of pregnant women, and then providing nutritional counseling to introduce essential nutrients to their diets from dairy products, vegetables and fruit, their urine fluoride levels decreased by over half, their haemoglobin levels increased by between seventy to eighty percent, their body mass index was increased, and the percentage of pre-term births and low birth weights was reduced.
